The Parent Staff Association (PSA) is a body of parents who meet with staff on a regular basis to plan and organise fundraising events for the girls, parents and friends of the school.
The Junior School
The Junior School committee comprises of parent representatives from each year group, two members of staff and the Head of the Junior School. On average, the committee meets twice a term and is successful in raising several thousand pounds a year which is used to buy additional equipment and resources for the girls.
PSA members help alongside many other parents with school events such as Sports Day, the Swimming Gala, second hand uniform sales, New Parents' Tea and trips with individual classes. Class parent representatives also offer liaison with new families as they join the school.
The Senior School
Without the support of parents and the Parent Staff Association Committee, the Senior School would not be able to run the Christmas Fair, Quiz & Curry Night, Murder Mystery Evening, and many other events that add extra rays of sunshine to the academic year. In recent years the PSA has provided funding for the new minibus, new sports kit, picnic tables and parasols.
Membership is totally on a voluntary basis, and the committee meet (not too) regularly to plot the School's social and fundraising events. Apart from evening meetings, a small group also get together in the afternoons to sort out Christmas wrapping papers, flower bulbs and other merchandise sold to raise money for the PSA. The commitment of each member to the PSA is totally up to the member, based on his or her family/work commitments.
