HSBC scholarship for entry into the Sixth Form
HSBC scholarships are awarded to exceptional candidates applying from maintained sector schools
Marisa was awarded an HSBC Scholarship for entry into the Sixth Form at Portsmouth High School in September 2014 and studied A Levels in Creative Writing, History and English Literature.
She left the school after completing her A Levels this summer and is now enjoying a BA in Liberal Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London. At the school’s Awards Evening in September Marisa received the Chairman’s Award for high all-round academic achievement.
“I really express my utmost gratitude not only for the Chairman’s Award but for the endless opportunities given to me at Portsmouth High School. I believe a great deal of my academic achievement has stemmed from the excellent academic and pastoral support provided by the school.
I have only spent two short years at Portsmouth High School but it has been the perfect stepping stone to the next chapter of my life. I am thrilled to have done well in my A Levels and to be at Royal Holloway progressing towards my ultimate goal of international journalism. I endeavour to contribute to the world as a ‘PHS girl’.
