Portsmouth High School is located in the heart of Southsea close to the sea. Please see the area map for our location on the South Coast. The school can easily be accessed by car or public transport. By Car:Either:Leave the M27 at junction 12, taking the M275 into Portsmouth. Follow signs to Southsea or seafront until you reach the southern end of the city, then follow the streetmap. Or:Leave the A27 at the Farlington junction, taking the A2030 down the Eastern side of the city, and follow Southsea signs until you reach the seafront. Turn right along the seafront and follow the streetmap. By Train:Portsmouth and Southsea station is the nearest station to the school, which is a short taxi ride or a fifteen minute walk from the station. Walk south from the station, over Guildhall Square, down Guildhall Walk to the dual carriageway Winston Churchill Avenue. Cross this and continue south to Kent Road following the streetmap. By Ferry:The school is a short walk over Southsea Common from the Isle of Wight hovercraft terminal, and a short bus ride from both the Gosport and Hayling Island ferries.
