Junior Case Studies

Isabel Richardson, Year 6

At the Junior School we are taught by some of the teachers at the Senior School which is great. They are specialist teachers which means they know their subjects well.

My favourite lesson is Mandarin taught by specialist teacher Mrs Wong. So far we have already learnt how to say and write colours, numbers to 99, famous Chinese songs and now we’re starting to learn some animal vocabulary.

It is a real privilege to be taught the ‘language of the middle kingdom’ as most junior schools stick to Spanish or French. Nobody in my year group has ever studied Mandarin so it’s great that we are all working together at the same pace.
