8:40am | Portsmouth High School

A day in the life of Reception Class

8:40 – It’s now time to go into the junior school hall for assembly. Today it’s Lily’s turn to lead the class on the short walk across the garden. Headmaster, Mr Marshallsay, is taking today’s assembly. After a hymn, he shows everyone a short video of Goldilocks and the three bears who find themselves in front of a high court judge. Mr Marshallsay talks to the girls about right and wrong and how it is not always easy to do the right thing but everyone must always try their very best.

During assembly, a pupil from each class is awarded a special ‘Pupil of the Week’ award. Lily from Reception Class is given her ‘Pupil of the Week’ badge for asking engaging questions in class.
