Junior School pupils were thrilled to be able to hear about Austrian culture and try on typical Austrian costume last week.

Girls from Year 2, Reception and the Nursery had been working with Sabrina Bamberger and Astrid Burde. The Austrian students were from Liezen in Austria where they are studying at BAKIP - Bundes Bildungsanstalt fur Kindergarten -Padagogik.

Sabrina and Astrid talked to the pupils all about their country and showed them images of different Austrian cities. They also showed the girls examples of traditional Austrian dance and two lucky pupils from each class were able to dress up in traditional costume.

Cheryl Fontana, Deputy Head of the Junior Department said "The pupils really enjoyed working with Astrid and Sabrina and we have been invited to visit their school in Austria in the future"
