First draw of the PSA Lottery PDF Print E-mail

The very first draw of the psa_lottery_logo_bigPortsmouth High School ‘PSA Lottery’ took place on Friday 30 January.  In front of assembled staff and parents, Chair of the PSA, Rosemary Valentine wished all participants ‘Good Luck’ before pressing the button on the computer generated random number selector. This month’s winner was Mrs Cohman-Mark, who received a sum of £63.00.

The initiative from the PSA is designed to boost fundraising for the exclusive benefit of current pupils from Nursery to Sixth Form. Following the very first draw the committee are ready to go out and sell more tickets, not only to boost the prize money but more importantly to maximise the monthly income donated to PSA funds.

Of the first draw, Rosemary said; “I am absolutely thrilled to have been involved seeing the first PHS Lottery winning number being drawn!  It has been a massive effort over the past year to create and organise it.  We are the first school within the GDST to launch a lottery and it is wonderful to finally see the culmination of all that hard work!  I have been working with Din Printer, Sharon Cocks, Iain Belcher and Dave Hunter and we have been given huge support and encouragement from Jenny Clough.  I'd also like to give special thanks to Bob Carr who has also made a fantastic contribution to this initiative.”
