On Monday 25 January  girls at Portsmouth High School Junior Department held a cake sale and had the opportunity to wear the most ridiculous hats they we could find in order to raise funds for those children and families in Haiti who have been affected by the recent earthquake.

The pupils showed great creative flair not only with the wonderful cakes they baked, but also the amazing array of different hats worn. Five lucky winners of the silliest, or most original hat, each won – A HAT!

Mrs Creal, Charities Co-ordinator at the Junior Department said; “The pupils raised an enormous £700.The money raised will be donated to UNICEF to be used as they see fit to help in the disaster area. I would like to say a very big thank you to our own very generous families.”
