Each year Portsmouth High School pupils put on a number of Drama, Dance and Music performances and productions and 2008 is no different! Staff and pupils have been busy rehearsing for this year’s extravaganza Just So!
Just So will be performed at the New Theatre Royal, Guildhall Walk, Portsmouth on the 18, 19 and 20 March.
The production is a whole school event, bringing together the talents and skills of many staff and pupils from the Performing Arts Departments. We would like as many pupils, from the Senior and Junior School and their families to support this school performance and see our cast of very talented actresses, singers and dancers who creatively bring this musical comedy to life.
The musical will appeal to young and old alike, based on the immortal short stories of Rudyard Kipling, JUST SO takes the audience on a fantastic journey along the banks of Africa's great, grey-green, greasy Limpopo River to meet a surprising collection of strange and amusing creatures.
The audience will marvel at the answers to: How did the elephant get his trunk? How did the leopard get his spots? And how did the rhinoceros get his skin? And will leave the theatre inspired by its underlying message - That one determined individual can make a real difference in the world! |
