Four girls from Year 8 have won the South of England regional heat of the Kids’ Lit Quiz.

Kids Lit Quiz is an annual international literature competition. Teams of four students work together to answer wide-ranging literary questions. The winning team from each region competes in the national final.

This year we entered two teams, one from Year 7 and one from Year 8. The teams were asked to to answer 100 questions on children's literature, divided into ten categories.

Both teams did the school proud with the Year 8 team winning the regional heat held in Havant on Wednesday.

The 16 regional finalists are then invited to compete to find the UK winner, who then meets the winners from several other countries including New Zealand, South Africa and China.
