Former Portsmouth High School pupil Sam Davies has just crossed the finish line to complete the Round Britain race in a record breaking time. The All female crew crossed the line in Aviva at 0840 and 29 seconds this morning.

The crew completed the race in 6 days 11 hours 30 minutes and 53 seconds beating the previous record by 17 hours 16 minutes.

Year 9 pupils met with Sam and visited Aviva boat when they were in Gunwharf prior to their departure on Monday 15th June. The pupils interviewed Sam for their pupil magazine and asked her about her new challenge as well as what it was like to competing in the Vendee Globe earlier this year.
