ISI Report 2015
‘Pupils are highly successful when applying to competitive universities for demanding courses in a wide range of subjects.’

Emily, Lower Sixth student
I love the independence of learning in the Sixth Form and smaller class sizes mean the teaching staff are always available if you are in need of support or guidance. Similarly, the friendly and family like atmosphere at Portsmouth High School is second to none, as not only are you given much more independence, you are also encouraged to reach your highest potential.

Isobel, Upper Sixth student
We are given so many opportunities here in music, drama, sport and work experience placements. Academic lectures help us find out more about subjects we are studying and also give us a chance to really think outside the box with new subjects.

My teachers in all of my subjects are enthusiastic and inspire me to study all of the different topics in greater depth. I have also enjoyed the independence of doing my EPQ research whilst also being supported through it by the staff.

Bianca, Upper Sixth student
“The best aspect of the Sixth Form? It’s got to be tea and toast in the kitchen! I also love studying subjects at a higher level – especially Spanish which I’m really enjoying at the moment.”
