Apply now for Sixth Form entry in 2018
Welcome to Portsmouth High Sixth Form and to a new and exciting phase of your life...
If you are looking to join the Sixth Form at Portsmouth High School in September 2018, please contact our Admissions Registrar Miss Louise Nunan for further information on our Sixth Form Entry Day on Wednesday 31 January 2018.
Prospective students are invited to attend lessons in the A Level subjects they are interested in studying and meet current sixth formers and staff. This is an ideal opportunity to experience the style of teaching on offer in the Sixth Form and see the facilities across the school.
Candidates are also requested to sit our Sixth Form Entrance Paper and attend a short interview with the Headmistress and Deputy Head (Academic).
This year was another tremendously successful one for Portsmouth High Sixth Formers with girls achieving an impressive 20% of A* grades and half of all grades at A Level were A*/A and 80% were A*- B with an excellent spread of top grades over all subjects.
The Sixth Form experience brings a wide range of leadership opportunities together with an innovative personal development and enrichment programme designed to help students achieve their true potential in readiness for university, the world of work and for life.
To register your interest in attending this event, please complete the form below, and our Admissions Registrar Miss Louise Nunan will be in touch.

What current students say...
Portsmouth High Sixth Form helps develop and inspire you as an individual. The wealth of opportunities is second to none…
Maisie, Upper 6
I have enjoyed the independence that has come with being in the Sixth Form and in particular being Deputy Head Girl and a Drama Scholar. The staff are always around, and are always more than willing to assist with curricular and extra-curricular activities in any way they can…and go above and beyond to do so.
Rosie, Upper 6
It all starts with toast…twenty four hours in our highly successful Sixth Form:
It’s such a great step up from GCSEs that prepares us well for university, and small class sizes provide a supportive environment and enable us to develop our opinions in an academic atmosphere.
