A level subjects – History, Religious Studies and Drama

Being in the Sixth Form has given me the opportunity to do my own research and independent study. It’s such a friendly atmosphere and there is the perfect balance of work and relaxation. The school has given me so many opportunities to flourish and in my role as Head Girl I have been given many chances to network and develop vital skills for later life. For example I am attending a leadership conference in Bath and have travelled to London to attend seminars and lectures by key academic and business figures.

I’ve really enjoyed my A Level subjects and think that the teachers made the transition from GCSE to A Level a lot easier. In History in particular, teachers give us extra reading to push us a bit further and broaden our learning and understanding. The discussions we have in class help us to form arguments and teachers are always willing to answer questions. I’m incredibly glad that I made the decision to stay at PHS for Sixth Form.
