With a typical roll of around 90 students and small groups in most subjects, the Sixth Form at Portsmouth High School is the powerhouse of our academic achievement and one of the reasons why we are consistently at the top of the league tables. Year on year PHS students achieve outstanding results, the rewards of hard work and excellent teaching, but excellent exam results are not the end of the story.

The Sixth Form experience is designed to develop each individual's skills as broadly as possible. We have a wide range of extra-curricular activities and an extensive enrichment programme. So, when they leave, PHS students take with them not only a great set of exam results but wonderful memories and a varied CV which motivates and prepares them for university, for the world of work and for life.
