Extra-Curricular Activities PDF Print E-mail

Students in our Sixth Form work hard and play hard. We encourage students to broaden their educational experience beyond the curriculum. The especially designed and unique Sixth Form Enrichment Programme does just that.

Opportunities to increase personal fitness, taste new leisure activities, learn new languages and develop important communication and leadership skills are all on offer and ensure that students have a CV which is valued by employers and universities.

Car maintenance, cooking as a student and managing on a budget can be combined with various different sporting activities such as archery and rifle shoot, Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme or completing the Community Sports Leaders Awards.

Students can further broaden their horizons by involvement in Children's University, Barnardos Business Incentive Scheme or editing the school magazine. The organisation of Charity Week sees the Sixth Form really work together - with the highlight of the week being the Fashion Show, which provides opportunities not only to shine on the cat walk, but also in promotion, negotiation with local businesses, budgeting, comparing and a whole host of other activities.
