Alex Jackson

"My name is Alex and I’m the Head Girl here. I’m studying Maths, English Literature, Geography and Religious Studies and Philosophy. I’m intending to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at university next year. My position as Head Girl has allowed me to get to know many people in the school and has given me opportunities to do many things, such as organising a hugely successful charity week and being involved in a wide variety of events and public speaking. There are so many leadership opportunities in the Sixth Form and everybody is involved in making it the hard working, fun, dynamic place that it is."

Hannah Chivers

"I’m Hannah and I’m studying English, Geography and Chemistry and I'm applying to study English Literature at university. I thoroughly enjoy Sixth Form life – there’s so much to get involved with, and there is definitely a good mix of work, social and extra-curricular opportunities. Everyone gets along and the Sixth Form Centre is a great place for us all to get together and relax whilst still being motivated to achieve our ambitions."

Louise Valentine

"Hi I’m Louise. I joined Portsmouth High School in Year 7 and am now really enjoying life in the Sixth Form. I’m taking English, Psychology, Maths and Biology A Levels and I enjoy being able to work on the subjects I really love. I hope to study Psychology at university, but for now I am very happy at PHS. It’s a great environment and I’d recommend it to any girl!"

Sian Green

"I’m Sian and I’m studying English Literature, Drama and Spanish this year. For me, the Sixth Form Centre symbolises both work and fun. The environment enables us to relax and feel comfortable but we are also encouraged to work hard! Everyone is given the opportunity to achieve their full academic potential and the extra-curricular activities allow us to develop our strengths and talents in other areas too."
