Beyond the classroom
Being at the top of an all-through school gives girls many opportunities to lead, too, and all students take on responsibilities as prefects, house captains, clubs and societies champions, mentors and peer leaders.
When they’re not organising charity activities for the whole school, Sixth Formers arrange regular social events, from winter and summer balls to film-themed pizza nights and paintball challenges. Every year, the Sixth Form leads the school in raising thousands of pounds for their chosen local charity – and they give to the community in many other ways too, offering their time and creativity to a huge range of projects.
As part of the GDST group of independent schools, we have access to a huge network of contacts and a host of exclusive experiences: from travel scholarships to banking internships, leadership weekends to engineering conferences, the GDST offers our students an unrivalled range of personal and career development opportunities. Whether they sign up for the regular expeditions to work with the school’s link charity in Tanzania or choose to make the most of the volunteering placements on our doorstep, the girls have a life-changing two years ahead of them. And we know they will rise to the challenge.
