At Portsmouth High Prep and Pre-School we help girls to think imaginatively and learn resilience in the face of challenges. We don’t want our pupils simply to follow routine timetables: we want them to be curious, fired up by making links between topics, are confident to think for themselves, and are courageous in speaking out. And we actively encourage them to collaborate and work together to accomplish their goals.
Our explorers’ theme is a thread that runs through the whole of our prep schooling ethos – through all parts of the school day to homework projects and our activity days.
Senior and Sixth Form Leaders
Our senior school and sixth form experiences build on the explorer theme, helping girls to consolidate the skills they have, while continuing to learn new ones through their teenage years. Academic studies of course play a key part in this, but equally important, in our view, is a girl’s personal development.
Designed purely with girls in mind, our approach will allow your daughter to grow up feeling good about herself.
