ISI Inspection Report 2026

The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) is the body approved by the Secretary of State to inspect independent schools.

The school is delighted to share the findings of the recent ISI inspection, which took place from 3 to 5 February 2026. The inspectors confirmed that all Standards were consistently met across every area examined. There were many highlights:

Leadership and ethos – Inspectors noted that “pupils’ wellbeing and pastoral care are central to the school’s ethos,” creating what they described as a welcoming, inclusive school environment. Our pupils’ emotional wellbeing was singled out as very well supported, with inspectors observing that the school has built “a culture of care and mutual respect.”

Academics – Academically, the report noted that our curriculum is “well planned and provides pupils with a wide range of experiences.” Inspectors observed that the oldest pupils achieve well in public examinations, and that pupils who have special educational needs are given the support they need to fully access the curriculum. The literacy curriculum was singled out as “rich, well structured and ambitious.”

Early Years – Our youngest learners also received wonderful praise. Inspectors found that children in the early years are provided with “adept teaching and a well-resourced learning environment,” and concluded that staff “enthuse children with a love of learning.”

Co-curricular – The report praised the school’s co-curricular offer, noting “a comprehensive and wide-ranging programme that many pupils enthusiastically engage with.”

Values – Inspectors also highlighted our pupils’ strong values, commenting that they “consistently demonstrate” respect, tolerance and equality in how they treat one another.

Careers education – Our careers education was also praised, with inspectors noting that it ensures pupils feel supported at important transition points and are well prepared for post-16 and post-18 education, training and employment.

Safeguarding – Finally, safeguarding — always our highest priority — was described as “thorough and robust.’’
