Our aim is for your daughter to thrive, both academically and personally. We realise that choosing the right school can seem daunting, therefore we aim for our admissions process to be fun and stimulating for girls, and simple and stress-free for parents.
Nursery and Pre-School (ages 3-4)

Before you apply, we would encourage you to come and see us at one of our Open Events or Book a Family Visit. You will have an opportunity to see the Nursery and Pre-School, as well as the wider Prep School, learn more about our academic ethos and leading co-curricular programme, and speak with members of staff.

When you are ready, register (application) for a place. There is no registration fee for pre-school/nursery. We are happy to accept your application at any time.
When we have received your application, your daughter will be invited for a one-to-one settle session (morning). Our light touch approach will help your daughter to familiarise herself with the teaching team.
Before your daughter starts at Portsmouth High School, Pre School/Nursery the Head of Pre-School will speak to you further regarding the transition.

Prep School (ages 4-11)

When you are ready, register (application) for a place. A non-refundable fee of £60 is charged to process each child’s application. This fee is inclusive of VAT. We are happy to accept your application at any time.
Once you have registered, your daughter will be invited to attend a low-key, fun Experience Day with her current year group. We understand your daughter may be nervous ahead of her Experience Day, and we do everything to ensure her day goes smoothly. We do not have a formal assessment for the Prep School; however, in addition to the Experience Day we will request from you, your daughter’s latest school report.
At the end of her day, you will meet with the Prep School Headmaster who will share feedback on her day and next steps.
