Portsmouth High School is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) which aims to provide a high quality education at a competitive cost.
In a survey by the Financial Times and the Sunday Times, GDST schools were identified as offering best value for money on the basis of A Level results and fee levels.
As one of 23 GDST schools and 2 academies, the largest group of independent schools in the UK, Portsmouth High School is able to benefit from economies of scale and to provide cost-effective central services.
As a result our fees compare very favourably with other independent schools and include many items, which other schools charge as “extras”, such as wraparound care in the Prep and Pre-School from 7.30am to 6.00pm, public examination fees, textbooks and external careers advice. Scholarships and Bursaries are available in the Senior School and Sixth Form.
The annual fees are divided into 3 instalments. The cost of each instalment from September 2020 is as follows:
Pre-School, Reception Class, Year 1 and Year 2 – £2,574
Year 3 to Year 6 – £3,394
Senior School and Sixth Form – £4,800
