Portsmouth High School is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) which aims to provide a high quality education at a competitive cost.
In a survey by the Financial Times and the Sunday Times, GDST schools were identified as offering best value for money on the basis of A Level results and fee levels.
As one of 23 GDST schools and 2 academies, the largest group of independent schools in the UK, Portsmouth High School is able to benefit from economies of scale and to provide cost-effective central services.
As a result our fees compare very favourably with other independent schools and include many items, which other schools charge as “extras”.
What our fees cover
Fees at Portsmouth High School cover tuition, text books, scientific materials, public examinations fees and external careers advice. Wraparound care in the Prep and Pre-School is included at no extra charge from 7.30am to 6.00pm every day during term time.
Payment of fees
There will be no increase in school fees for the autumn term 2021. Fees are currently under review and revised fees will be payable from January 2022.
All academic fees must be paid through the GDST bank direct debit system. Fees are due and payable termly in advance, on the first day of the term concerned. Fees can be paid in monthly instalments and there is no extra charge for this.
