Welcome back to the summer term. I hope the Easter break offered rest, some sunshine and time with family and friends.
As we return to school for the final term of the year, it feels especially timely to reflect on the importance of confidence, aspiration and opportunity. A recent UK study found that although 70% of young women are interested in STEM, nearly half still doubt their own abilities, highlighting how vital it is for schools to nurture self-belief as well as achievement. That message sits at the heart of our work every day. The summer term brings with it exams, performances, sport, trips and celebrations, but also the chance to encourage each student to aim high and grow in confidence. I look forward to a successful and rewarding term ahead.
