We are very much looking forward to our arts festival , a celebration of the Mexican festival of Dia de los Muertos-a truly cross-curricular celebration.
At PHS, we believe that music, drama, and art are essential to a truly holistic education. While the national emphasis on STEM subjects is vital for preparing students for the modern world, creativity remains equally important in shaping confident, thoughtful, and expressive individuals. Through performance, visual expression, and creative collaboration, pupils learn to see the world with greater empathy and innovation. Our commitment to music, drama, and art ensures every student has the opportunity to discover talents beyond the classroom, gaining confidence and joy in self-expression. The arts will continue to form an integral part of our well-rounded curriculum, celebrating creativity as a lifelong skill.
I hope you all enjoy the talent on display this evening, and wish you all a restful half-term break.
