Last Friday, Portsmouth High Prep School was filled with joy, laughter, and a deep sense of connection as we welcomed over one hundred grandparents to our annual Grandparents’ Afternoon. It was a truly special occasion that celebrated the invaluable role grandparents play in the lives of our pupils and in our wider school community.
From the moment they arrived, our guests were greeted with smiles and excitement. The children were eager to show their grandparents around the school, share their work, and introduce them to their teachers and friends. The atmosphere was one of warmth and genuine affection, perfectly embodying the family spirit that lies at the heart of our school.
Throughout the afternoon, grandparents shared stories, experiences, and wisdom with the children, sparking meaningful conversations and moments of reflection. It was inspiring to witness the intergenerational exchange of ideas and values, and to see how much our pupils gained from these interactions.
We are incredibly grateful to all the grandparents who joined us and helped make the afternoon so memorable. Your presence enriched our school day and left a lasting impression on the children. Thank you for being part of our Portsmouth High Prep School family.
