Holiday Clubs in Southsea

Multi-activity programmes designed to ensure your children get the best out of their school holidays

This Easter, Portsmouth High School is offering multi-activity holiday clubs for children aged 3 to 11 years, from Monday 29 March to Thursday 1 April. 

Our multi-activity programme will bring together a balanced mix of music, drama, arts, sport and cooking. We will ensure that your children will get the best out of the week before Easter.  Four camps will be running over the 4 days:


Creative Easter Eggs
Creative Easter Eggs for children aged 3 to 5 years (Pre-School and Reception Class) runs from Monday 29 March through to Thursday 1 April.


Easter Forest School
Forest School activities for children aged 5 to 8 years (Years 1 to 3) run on Monday 29 and Tuesday 30 March.


Active Easter Sports Camp
Sports Camp for children aged 5 to 8 years (Years 1 to 3) runs on Wednesday 31 March and Thursday 1 April.


Easter Science Club
Easter Science Club is for children aged 8 to 11 years (Years 4 to 6) and takes place on Monday 29 March through to Thursday 1 April. Science club will take place in the Senior School Science Department and will be run by science teacher Miss Davies. Science Club is suitable for all budding Brian Cox’s, Marie Curie’s, or anyone who loves to make scientific discoveries.


Easter Cookery Club
Cookery for children aged 8 to 11 years (Years 4 to 6) runs from Monday 29 March through to Thursday 1 April.

Holiday Club costs

The cost will be £35 per individual day. Drop off is between 8am and 9am and pick up is between 4pm and 5pm. Cookery Club will be held in the Senior School state of the art Food Technology Room.

All payments must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure a place. Please note, that we are not able to provide lunch on these days so children are required to provide their own packed lunch and a water bottle.

Easter Holiday Club is open to children from 3 to 11 years, whether for a single session or for the whole week. Your child does not have to be a current pupil at Portsmouth High School, everyone is welcome to attend.

How to book

Please visit https://www.trybooking.co.uk/YJP and complete the required booking form and make your payment. If you are paying by child care vouchers through your provider, please enter the code CHILDCARE at the time of payment. Alternatively, please contact the school office by telephoning 023 9282 6714 and asking for the Finance Officer Helen Harris or  e-mail h.harris@por.gdst.net.

You can book the full week or individual days for your child. Please make separate bookings for each child attending Holiday Club.

The Easter clubs will be operating under the latest PHS COVID-19 risk assessment and each activity will operate in its own isolation bubble.

Terms and Conditions

Changing your booking
Seven days notice is required and the school will endeavour to change the dates within the same holiday season (e.g. summer), subject to availability at no extra cost.

Cancelling your booking
A minimum of 14 days notice is required to cancel a booking. All monies paid will be refunded less the equivalent of £10 per day cancellation fee. In the case of cancellations with less than 14 days notice, we regret that no refund is available except in the case of injury/illness which has been certified in writing by a registered medical practitioner accompanied by a letter to the school.

Insurance
All children in our care are covered by our Public Liability Insurance.

First Aid
In the event of an accident, first aid will be administered to children in our care, and the emergency services will be called if necessary.

Child Exclusion
If, on the rare occasion that a child proves incompatible with the general well-being of the group e.g. bullying, disruptive or aggressive behaviour, the school reserves the right to exclude such children. No refund will be made for any remaining days booked and any costs associated with the exclusion, including transport home, will be the parent’s responsibility.

Please note: children are required to bring packed lunches and snacks every day.
