The course will be delivered via an online platform and will consist of the following:

Two hours per week of face-to-face teaching to prepare students for the IGCSE examination

One hour per week of English conversation practice

Thirty minutes per week pastoral time

The timing of the lessons will be taken into account so that it does not impact on your daughter’s usual school hours. The course will run for twenty five weeks between September 2020 and May 2021. Your daughter will be supplied with the necessary textbook for the course.

Parents will need to apply directly to an examination centre for their daughter to sit as an external (or private) candidate. We would recommend arranging this as early as possible. You can search for your nearest centre here:

Who is the course for?

If your daughter is between the ages of 15 and 18 in May 2021, she will be eligible to join the course. She will need to have been learning English for at least 4 years and be proficient in reading and writing in order to access the course effectively.

This is the ideal course for any girl who wants to gain a prestigious qualification and develop her English skills from the comfort of her own home. It is perfect for those who intend to study in an English-speaking country or whose future career may require evidence of proficient English skills.
