Annalee opens her GCSE results live on BBC Radio Solent

Congratulations to Annalee, 16, who was awarded a string of 9 grades and 2A*s for her GCSEs today.

It was not just Annalee and her father who were tense as the long-awaited envelope was opened, but thousands of Radio Solent listeners across the area who joined her live and shared her special moment.

‘I am so happy after the roller-coast ride of the last few weeks,’ Annalee said.  ‘I am absolutely delighted with my grades and am looking forward to studying A Levels at Portsmouth High School in mathematics, physics and chemistry.  I’m off now for a picnic on the beach with my friends and will celebrate with family tonight.’

‘There is a sense of closure now that I have opened them and I can move on.’
