June has been a hive of sporting activity, with three separate Sports Days alongside numerous fixtures for teams across the school.
Our youngest pupils in Pre-School enjoyed their very own Sports Day in the school grounds. Nursery rhyme–themed races added a delightful touch, with familiar favourites such as Humpty Dumpty and Wee Willie Winkie bringing plenty of fun and laughter.
Prep School Sports Day, for girls from Reception to Year 6, was a joy to watch. There was a wonderful spirit of teamwork, with older pupils supporting younger ones and senior school girls helping to lead the groups. Certificates were awarded for the top three places in each event, and the House Points steadily mounted, with Dolphin House crowned overall champions this year.
Senior School Sports Day proved equally exciting, with five records broken. In Year 7, Rire set new records in both the 100m and 200m, while Amelie broke the 800m and 1500m records — the latter by an impressive margin of almost 20 seconds. Congratulations also go to Ellie in Year 9, who surpassed the javelin record by nearly three metres. In the House competition, Brontë were overall winners, with Austen finishing as runners-up.
