Many congratulations to the cast and crew of Portsmouth High School GDST for their breathtaking production of Les Misérables. Over two nights, they captivated a packed house, transporting us to the tumultuous world of 19th-century France. Their tireless efforts brought this timeless tale of love, sacrifice, and redemption to life with extraordinary success.
Directors Mrs Morris and Mrs D’All Omo reflected, ‘It feels like ages ago when we had our first cast rehearsal at the start of the autumn term, workshopping the final battle scene and delving into the rich context of Les Misérables. Yet here we are, having completed a fantastic journey exploring the wonderful story, rich characters, and beautiful songs.’
‘We’ve created unforgettable memories and, for many of the cast, experienced numerous ‘firsts,’ including an incredible workshop with West End actor James Hume and the thrill of performing alongside a professional band.’
‘It has been an absolute joy to work on this production. The talent showcased has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we are immensely proud of the show’s resounding success. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts.’
