During this morning’s assembly, the Prep School Head Girl Team were delighted to announce the charity they have chosen to support for this year’s Charity Day, taking place on Friday 23 January. We are pleased to share that the beneficiary will be the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance Service, who were equally thrilled to be selected.
To mark the launch, we were honoured to welcome Hazel, a volunteer from the organisation, who visited the school accompanied by Pat the bear, acting as a helicopter pilot. Hazel, with the help of several pupils, presented a typical emergency scenario to demonstrate the vital work the Air Ambulance Service carries out across the region. The presentation offered a valuable insight into how the charity operates and the life‑saving role it plays within our community.
Our thanks go to Hazel and Pat for providing such an informative and engaging session. Many congratulations also to the Head Girl Team for their excellent organisation of the assembly and their thoughtful planning of the upcoming Charity Day. A range of exciting activities will be on offer, and the raffle prizes on display today are certain to attract much interest. Pupils will also have the unique opportunity to test a helicopter flight simulator on the day.
