Learning Music at Portsmouth High Prep School
Music at the Prep School is extremely popular. Over 90% of pupils either learn an instrument or sing. Music lessons with Director of Music, Mrs Hill, start in Nursery and Pre-School and in Year 3 every pupil is given the chance to learn the violin or recorder. Visiting music teachers prepare pupils for examinations and performances over a wide range of instruments helping to build girls’ confidence and enthusiasm for music from an early age.
