Our Pre-School children enjoyed their very own nursery rhyme-themed Sports Day in the beautiful grounds of the Prep School.
This year’s nursery rhyme theme brought an extra layer of fun, with races inspired by well-known favourites such as Wee Willie Winkie and Humpty Dumpty. The children delighted in showcasing the physical skills they have been developing, including skipping, balancing and running.
They performed brilliantly in front of an enthusiastic audience of parents and friends, demonstrating both confidence and teamwork.
At the end of the event, Portsmouth High Prep School’s Headmaster, Mr Marshallsay, presented the children with their well-earned medals and certificates. The afternoon concluded with a delicious tea enjoyed together in the gardens.
Nursery teacher Mrs Nelson said:
“I am so proud of all the children. They have worked hard preparing for their Sports Day and performed so well in front of an audience. Their physical skills are developing brilliantly and they will continue to build on these as they move into Reception Class.”
