Year 7 shine on stage for their drama evening

Our Year 7 pupils treated us to a fantastic evening of drama at the end of their first term. The performance was filled with energy and imagination which uplifted the spirits of the audience and left them smiling.

The first highlight of the night was The Legend of St George, when brave knights and mythical creatures transported us to a world of adventure and heroism. We were also treated to a brilliant retelling of The Rise and Fall of Macbeth, filled with dramatic twists moments. Harry Rings, Lord of the Potters was the final play which offered a humorous and imaginative twist on two of our favourite stories.

‘I really enjoyed the whole experience,’ said Heidi in Year 7. ‘It’s good to have the opportunities to do different things and it has really helped my confidence.’

Bibi added ‘It helped us get to know each other better because we worked together so closely. I would love to do it again.’

‘We had real freedom in how we developed our characters,’ said Frankie. ‘That’s what I enjoy about drama, you can make your character your own.’

Libby said ‘It was such fun and I really enjoyed the whole experience. It is something I will always remember when I look back on my time here.’

Directors Mrs Dall’Omo and Mrs Morris said ‘We are delighted with how hard Year 7 have worked to make these performances such a success. Each rehearsal has been a delight watching the girls grow in confidence and develop the characters they are playing making them interesting and amusing. This is only their first term in the senior school and they have come such a long way.’
