Open Week
Monday 20 to Friday 24 April 2026 9.00am to 3.00pm
Open Week is an ideal opportunity to visit Portsmouth High School and find out if the school is right for your daughter. You will be visiting the school during a normal teaching day and our Nursery, Pre-School, Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form will all be open to welcome visitors. Our Prep and Senior Schools are on two separate sites, just a five minute walk up Kent Road and you are welcome to book to see both sites if you wish.
During your visit you can expect to:

- See lessons in action
- Discover why girls learn best in an all-girls environment
- Find out about the admissions process
- Get a feel for school life
From Nursery pupil to Head Girl in the Sixth Form...
Head Girl Emma has found her time at Portsmouth High School GDST a life changing experience since joining as a Nursery pupil.
‘I have been at Portsmouth High School since Nursery and the school has shaped so much of who I am today. The academic support is excellent, but it is the sense of community and encouragement to take part in everything on offer makes it that much more special. Some of my favourite memories come from getting involved in school events, such as the Fashion Show in Sixth Form and building strong and lasting friendships.
Being part of the Head Girl Team has been such a highlight of my time in the Sixth Form. It’s been incredibly rewarding to help lead the school community, organise events and contribute to initiatives like Charity Week, making my final year especially memorable. It’s been a wonderful opportunity to give back and to help create experiences for others in the same way the school has done for me over the years.’
