THE SCHOOL DAY
Never a dull moment during the school day...
The Prep School day starts with registration at 8.40am and finishes at 3.40pm. For those requiring wrap around care, there is a Breakfast Club from 7.30am and Aftercare Club is available until 6.00pm.
Between these hours, your daughter will participate in a huge range of activities, with core subject lessons mixed with a host of new experiences. Never a dull moment. And never one in which she won’t be fully supported to achieve all she can. And of course, there are morning and afternoon breaks and a longer lunch break to allow for free play time, or attendance at one of the many co-curricular clubs available.

THE DAY BEGINS
Girls should arrive at school in time for registration in their classroom at 8.40am. They then go to assembly in the hall at 8.45. Their first lesson begins at 9.10 and the second lesson at 9.50.

Morning break starts at 10.30 when girls can play and explore in the gardens and take time for a healthy snack.

Lesson 3 begins at 10.50 and Lesson 4 at 11.30.

LUNCH BREAK
All girls have a lunch cooked by Portsmouth High School catering staff on the premises. They sit around tables with the rest of the girls in their class and with their teacher. After lunch they are free to play or go to one of the many lunch time clubs available.

Lesson 5 starts at 13.20, Lesson 6 at 14:00, and Lesson 7 at 14.40.

THE END OF THE DAY
Girls meet back in their classroom with their form teacher at 15.20 for form time before they go home for the day at 15.40. Some girls stay on for clubs or Aftercare and others make their way home with parents, grandparents or carers. The school minibus service collects pupils from the prep school and takes them home to a variety of locations in the local catchment area. The school gates close for the day at 18:00.
