A levels – History, French, Psychology and EPQ
I started at Portsmouth High School in Year 9 after having lived in Bermuda for 10 years. Moving to a new school is hard and being a new country made it even harder but Portsmouth High School made it easy.
All the students and teachers are both friendly and supportive whilst constantly pushing you to be your best self. I am now in the Sixth Form and I couldn’t be happier with my situation; encouraging teachers in all my subjects, friends who are always there for me and the great feeling of independence.
I have been given so many opportunities above and beyond academics. PHS has especially helped me to build my sporting skills. I am a very keen sailor and being in the netball, hockey and rounders teams at school has helped me massively through enhancing my fitness levels whilst having a lot of fun. I have also had the opportunity to do my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award with all my friends at PHS and it was honestly one of the highlights of my year!
This first year of A Levels has definitely been a big step from GCSEs but the teachers couldn’t have been more helpful. Now I am beginning to put together my applications to various universities where I am hoping to study Psychology and French and I am so lucky that PHS provides so much assistance in helping us to achieve our goals.
