A week of experimentation and learning
It has been a week of experimentation and learning for everyone at the Prep School this week. From our youngest children to our oldest members of staff, we have all been on a journey of discovery to find the best ways of engaging with our whole age range. It has not always been completely smooth, but we have made significant progress.
Whilst online teaching and learning has been going on, the Prep School has been open for the children of our key workers. We are very proud to be doing our small part in keeping these vital parents in work so that the country can continue to operate. We have parents involved in making ventilators, front line NHS workers and pharmacists to name but a few. I would like to thank all of you for what you are doing for us.
The children in school have coped very well with being alongside others from different year groups. They have been exercising, performing their lessons, catching up on work and singing to keep their spirits up. It is lovely to still have some children in school even if we are missing everyone else.
Over Easter the school will be remaining open for these children so that their parents can continue to provide much needed services. A team of volunteers from across the whole school, Prep and Senior, will be helping to keep us going throughout. They are all volunteers and I would like to pay tribute to them for their offer to come into school during this turbulent time.
I hope everyone manages to stay positive over the Easter break and I will look forward to seeing all of the girls in some way, shape or form for the summer term.
