Welcome back to the summer term
We are delighted to start the summer term with pupils onsite in school and the opportunity to add some events to which we may invite an audience and guests.
My assembly this week focuses on the value of patience. We have shown such fortitude through this pandemic and whilst we want total normality to resume we will have to make sure that all regulations are followed and sensible precautions taken. We are eager to return to our usual level of hospitality. However, some changes may stay. For example, most of the comments received about parents’ evenings praise the online system but we will make sure there are opportunities for you to meet staff and other parents at social events. I know many of you have listened to the GDST series of talks from experts in their field on topics around raising a daughter. We will still organise information sessions that are specifically relevant to PHS.
We welcome all our new pupils who have started this term and they are warmly received by the whole school. We also welcome two new members of staff to the prep school – Mrs Ruth Irvine-Capel and Mr Tom Bromfield as Assistant Head Pastoral and Assistant Head Academic respectively.
